Culinary Use:
In Peruvian cuisine as a flavoring used to flavor stews, either dry or green. It is very aromatic and gives very good flavor to meats, pastas, fish.

Medicinal Use :

Digestive, intestinal spasms if
Expectorant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic of the respiratory tract, coughing bout, desinflama bronchi and helps in removing germs.
Emmenagogue, relieves menstrual cramps
Antioxidant, contains over 30 compounds with this property including thymol,
Rosmarinic acid and carvacrol.
It promotes circulation and improves blood supply to the brain for its antiplatelet properties.
